Conan is a solo artist, who writes and composes his own electronic music. He was born and raised in Zimbabwe, an African country in the south east of the continent. He has a great love for his country and counts himself lucky to have grown up in such beautiful surroundings. Despite political turmoil and violence he still spends time in the capital city Harare.

His journey into writing lyrics and making music started in 1997 with the discovery of a very basic midi sequencing program on the family pc. The idea of making his own electronic music inspired him to start writing lyrics and poetry. He entertained ideas of forming a band in his small hometown but after a few disastrous demo tapes realized that his dream was only taken seriously by himself.

He moved to the capital city Harare and persisted with his writing and composing whilst also training to be a graphic designer. By 2002 he had produced his first demo cd, which he took when he moved London, England, with hopes of it being well received, but with no call backs and many refusals he soon realized that he would have to improve his style and writing.

London was perfect for inspiration at times, a world of new experiences and He started playing with different sounds and ideas, and experimenting with different programs which led to a collection of 7 Electronica / Pop songs entitled “Postcards from Limbo” in 2006, this was better received than his last attempt and started to gain a small fan base on the web, the song “Limbo” got a small amount of air time in the United States, being played by a Californian radio station.

In 2008 his new collection of 8 songs was called “Remembering Fire”. The styles varied from ballad to heavy techno beats. Included in the collection were the songs “Don’t Look Down” “Disappoint You” and “Breathe In”. The title track “Remembering Fire”  has since been remixed by DJ Ramo and was released in 2010 under the 66Khz Productions UK label.

At present Conan is working on new material, after taking two years away from the music scene. He feels that the new material is more introspective, well written and that vocally he is better on the new tracks. He has also had great fun experimenting with different ambient sounds and textures. He has written 14 songs for this new project. This release will include “Down down Baby” “Gone for Good”  “Shine” and “Mended” …
